Presets FAQ

What are presets?

A preset is a pre-determined position of the of settings, and can also be described as a filter. They are created in Adobe Lightroom, a professional editing software used by photographers and content creators.

Why do people use presets?

Using presets helps you to give a similar look to you pictures – really useful on Instagram to give your feed a consistent look. It’s also a time-saver as you apply them with one-click only, and if necessary slightly arrange few adjustments.

WHAT DO I NEED to use presets?

All you need is the Adobe Lightroom CC desktop version, and the free Lightroom App.

How Will I receive the presets?

Once purchased, you will receive a download link to save the presets. A step-by step guide is also provided to help you install them.

What’s the difference between Desktop and Mobile presets?

The difference here comes more about the version. The mobile version of Lightroom is free and has fewer options and features. The desktop version has a much wider range of creative tools, allowing a more detailed edit, but you have to pay a subscription fee. ($9.99 per month)

Desktop presets don’t work with the mobile app and vice versa. That’s why we offer our presets in both versions.

Do I need a professional Camera to use these presets?

No.

Can I use these presets on my GoPro and Drone pictures?

Yes.

Will my photos look just like yours?

They will have a similar editing style for sure, but they won’t look the same.  There are many factors such as the camera you are using, the camera’s settings, the lens, the light and the skin tone that affect the final look of a picture.

Are your presets guaranteed to work for my photos?

No. And no one can guarantee that for the simple reason I said above : every image is different. But we created these presets to work on a wide range of pictures, so we’re confident that at least one of our presets will work for your image!

How do I make the most of the presets?

Presets do not include White Balance and Exposure. So before applying the preset to the picture make sure to:

  1.  Adjust to the right exposure
  2. Adjust the white balance (temperature+tint)

These are adjustment that can be changed directly from your camera.

What is the difference between RAW and JPEG?

RAW and JPEG are two different file formats.

RAW files are saved with layers of information that allow you to edit much more precisely. The RAW format is the unprocessed, uncooked, raw data collected from the scene by the camera sensor.
JPEG files, on the other hand, is the final product. The JPEG format is processed and compressed at the time of shooting, which loose information.

HOW DO I INSTALL THE PRESETS ?

A PDF step-by-step installation guide is included with the purchase.

What if I lose the presets?

With every order you are given 5 days to download and save all files. Please be sure to backup all files somewhere safe within this time. Unfortunately, if your 5 day window has passed, you’ll need to re-purchase.

Can I share the presets with my friends?

No. All products are copyrighted, and the license you buy is a single purchaser license. This does not extend to companies or partnerships and may not be resold (whole or modified), loaned, and/or freely given to another individual and/or party.

Do you accept returns?

Since presets are digital goods and cannot be returned, we are unable to issue refunds.
