Let’s talk about the planet, Eco-responsibility and sustainability. Why? Because it’s an important topic in today’s society – it affect everyone’s life, and the environment.
Undeniably, phenomena such as plastic pollution, deforestation and climate changing have a big impact on our planet – people know it, but probably don’t imagine how important the consequences are. Today, we want to focus on the deforestation, which means a permanent destruction of forests in order to make the land available for other uses. Each year, about 7.3 million hectares of forest are lost. Deforestation occurs mainly rain-forest tropical climate, and Indonesia is the most targeted country.
Above all, trees are mandatory to our planet – they create an ecosystem to provide habitat and food for birds and other animals. They supply oxygen, absorb carbon dioxide and potentially harmful gasses, are used for medicine. and help the climate changing.
NIKIN – The brand
NIKIN was founded in 2016 in Lenzburg, Switzerland with a focus on fashion and sustainability. The initiative of NIKIN to show that it does not take much to live more ecologically and therefore do something good for nature.
Believing that together we can make the world a better place, they want to make people aware of an important reality: our planet suffers heavily from human influence and is not replaceable.
With NIKIN, they found a way to involve people in important cause : reforestation. 1 product bought means 1 tree planted somewhere, where the world needs it.

NIKIN works with the American non-profit organization “One Tree Planted”. Indeed, NIKIN don’t actually plant trees themselves, but finance their planting.
Plus, you’ll also get a tree certificate, obviously made from a „tree-free“ paper.
